MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONIES
On May 29, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. the Memorial Day Ceremonies will begin at War Memorial Park in front of the Fire Hall. Presentations will be made honoring those men and women that served our country. Please join us in saluting our veterans.
At 11:00 a.m. the William P. Keeney Memorial VFW Post would appreciate your attendance at their ceremony as well. The Post is located on Pennsylvania Avenue at Laurel Road. Your attendance is always welcomed. Refreshments will be served.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The Borough will start the Celebration on July 3, 2000 with the fireworks at Sterling High School which will occur at dusk. Somerdale and Magnolia have joined again with us to make this event memorable.
The Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on July 4, 2000 at Incollingo's Stratford Market. Please arrive by 10:00 a.m. PLEASE NOTE: All children riding in the parade MUST be wearing their helmets or they will NOT be able to participate. All non-licensed vehides such as mini-bikes and go-carts are illegal and not permitted in the parade.
We would like to see more signs of patriotism this year, so please remember to fly your flag for the Holiday!
